Senior Customs Entry Writer-Remote

Customs Entry Writer (Hybrid) Location: Remote | Experience Level: Entry to Mid-Level Base Salary-$70,000-$75,000 About the Role: We’re looking for a motivated Senior Customs Entry Writer to join our licensed U.S. Customs brokerage team. In this role, you’ll prepare and process import entries, classify goods using the HTS, and ensure compliance with all CBP and Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations. This is a great opportunity for a Professional with a strong attention to detail with experience in import/export, logistics, or customs brokerage who wants to grow their career in international trade. Key Responsibilities: · Prepare and transmit import entries through CargoWise system, ensuring complete and accurate data in accordance with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations. · Review import documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading). · Accurately classify products using the Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS). · Coordinate with Customs and Partner Government Agencies (PGAs) including FDA, USDA, and EPA. · Communicate proactively with clients, and government agencies to resolve entry issues. · Use CargoWise/CW1 to manage data, track shipments, and maintain compliance records. · Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience in customs entry writing or import operations.
- Proven ability to prepare, transmit, and monitor import entries through ACE and ABI systems.
- Proficiency in HTS classification, including applying correct duty rates as well as provision tariff stacking.
- Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and time management.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining productivity and communication with team members.
Required:
- Experience keying and transmitting entries through CargoWise
- Experience with ALL Sections of Government Tariffs including Section 301, 232, 122 and more
- Experience processing and analyzing Customs Entries via ACE/Cape Portal
- Experience coordinating with multiple PGAs (FDA, USDA, CPSC, LACEY, TSCA).
- Experience filing Post Summary Corrections (PSC) and Protests
- Exposure to anti-dumping/countervailing duty (AD/CVD) procedures.
- Actively pursuing or holding a U.S. Customs Broker License.
