Manager, Implementation Science

Work from home Full-time role Hiring

Description Seeking a Manager, Implementation Science to deliver a comprehensive Implementation Science Project Management service. This role is designed as a hybrid operational–research position, supporting a portfolio of implementation science studies and evidence-generation activities across the HIV prevention and treatment landscape. The Manager will be responsible for coordinating end-to-end project delivery, including tracking study timelines, managing milestones and deliverables, coordinating cross-functional inputs and monitoring progress across studies. In parallel, this role contributes to applied research execution, including study planning, data interpretation, and dissemination of outputs. The role ensures seamless integration between study-level operational activities (e.g., tracking progress, coordinating inputs, and managing deliverables) and scientific priorities, enabling efficient execution of high-impact studies and timely delivery of insights within agreed timelines. This service is critical to supporting the Implementation Science team by strengthening operational rigor while advancing research activities. Performance will be measured against clearly defined Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for day-to-day coordination of implementation science projects, ensuring alignment to timelines, deliverables, and cross-functional dependencies
  • Maintain oversight of study operations, including tracking milestones, deliverables, and risks across a portfolio of studies
  • Ensure study documentation (e.g., protocols, trackers, materials, eTMF documentation, and outputs) is accurately maintained and integrated within broader project workflows
  • Provide visibility on project progress, proactively identifying risks and enabling timely resolution
  • Contribute directly to implementation research activities, including supporting protocol development, study execution, and interpretation of findings
  • Partner with study teams to ensure research activities are operationalized efficiently and executed in line with scientific and strategic objectives and within policies
  • Support development of key evidence outputs, including abstracts, manuscripts, reports, and presentations
  • Ensure timely and coordinated delivery of dissemination materials to internal and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate communication across study teams and supporting functions to ensure alignment on timelines, deliverables, and milestones for individual projects
  • Track dependencies and project progress, coordinating with stakeholders to maintain study timelines and ensure timely completion of key activities, while supporting preparation of accurate, up-to-date project updates
  • Facilitate clear, consistent information flow across teams involved in study execution, ensuring roles, responsibilities and expectations are well understood
  • Maintain structured reporting processes, providing regular updates on project progress against KPIs and SLAs
  • Track key performance metrics related to both operational delivery and research outputs

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH), life sciences, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in both research (quantitative and/or qualitative) and project/program management environments
  • Proven experience supporting study execution, data generation, and/or evidence dissemination within a healthcare, pharmaceutical, or research setting
  • Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple workstreams and competing priorities
  • Ability to translate scientific objectives into operational plans and drive execution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and other tools for data visualization and communication
  • Ability to utilize Gen-AI when necessary
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and independently
