About arenaflex and the Disaster Assistance Support Team
arenaflex is a leading provider of innovative solutions to the public sector, and we're proud to partner with the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to support disaster relief efforts. Our team is committed to providing compassionate and efficient service to those in need, and we're seeking talented individuals to join our ranks. As a Customer Service Representative on our Disaster Assistance Support team, you'll be working remotely from the comfort of your own home. However, you'll be required to physically pick up your equipment at our office in Pharr, TX, which is located within a 100-mile radius of our arenaflex location. This is a temporary position, and we're looking for individuals who are available to work an eight-hour shift, five days a week, with flexibility to accommodate varying schedules, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
* Respond to calls and applications from individuals and businesses seeking disaster assistance from the designated geographical area
- Provide exceptional customer service, resolving issues and answering questions in a timely and compassionate manner
- Work collaboratively with the FEMA team to ensure seamless communication and support
- Maintain accurate records and documentation, adhering to arenaflex and FEMA standards
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives
Essential Qualifications:
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service experience, preferably in a call center or remote work environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a focus on resolving complex issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a disaster relief or emergency management capacity
- Familiarity with FEMA programs and services
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in multiple languages
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, such as seniors or individuals with disabilities
- Certification in customer service, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Call Center Representative (CCCR)
