Job Overview

As a Distribution Clerk, you will be responsible for the preparation of orders for efficient and accurate shipment by UPS or other carriers. You will ensure accurate receipt and storage of packaged goods and materials, and perform a variety of tasks to support the smooth operation of our warehouse. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, physical stamina, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

* Pick orders by utilizing digital or electronic product codes

• Stack full cases weighing 1 to 25 pounds
• Load freight onto carrier trailers
• Move materials within the warehouse, using electric hand jacks to move heavy items as required
• Receive inbound freight
• Load and unload freight into the company warehouse
• Perform other tasks as required to support the smooth operation of the warehouse

Required Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent

• A minimum of 1 year of relevant work experience
• Ability to lift 10 to 20 pounds regularly and heavy loads up to 50 pounds on a moderate basis
• Ability to meet productivity and accuracy standards
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for 8 to 10 hours per day, usually Monday-Thursday
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Availability to work 3rd shift
• Basic mathematics skills, computer literacy, and knowledge of electronic hand scanners, printers, and terminals

• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution environment

Terms of Employment

* Must be able to lift 10 to 20 pounds regularly and heavy loads up to 50 pounds on a moderate basis

• Must be able to meet productivity and accuracy standards
• Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for 8 to 10 hours per day, usually Monday-Thursday
• Must be able to work overtime when required
• Must be available to work 3rd shift
• Uniforms and safety glasses are required
