Senior Automation Tester, IRS GFE
Job Description:
- Understand project requirements and turn them into clear test plans and test cases.
- Set up test environments and run both manual and automated tests.
- Log and track defects, and work with the team to get them fixed.
- Perform regression and acceptance testing to ensure everything works as expected.
- Support backend testing, including APIs and databases (SQL is a plus).
- Work with automation tools like Selenium or Cypress.
- Take part in the full software development lifecycle and CI/CD process.
- Help improve testing processes and contribute to better software quality.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field preferred
- Strong communication skills
- Experience writing and executing test scripts
- Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks
- Familiarity with backend testing, CI/CD, and the overall software development lifecycle
- Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
