Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Specimen Management Support Representative to join our team in Seattle, WA. As a key member of our customer care team, you will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our laboratory, including specimen management, quality control, and process enhancements. If you have a strong background in laboratory operations, excellent communication skills, and a passion for driving results, we encourage you to apply.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist in the management of daily tasks, including specimen processing, quality control, and inventory management
- Support the laboratory team in their daily cycles and methodologies, ensuring seamless operations and high-quality results
- Help prepare research center specimens for investigation and testing, ensuring accurate and timely delivery
- Administer the transportation of specimens to their individual preparation areas, ensuring safe and secure handling
- Support process enhancements and best practices, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
- Perform quality control checks to ensure productivity and accuracy, resolving any production errors as mentioned by management
- Examine and resolve any production errors, escalating to management when necessary
- Participate in continuous cycle and service level enhancements, ensuring high-quality results and customer satisfaction
- Perform quality affirmation checks to ensure productivity and precision
- Authorize and oversee strategies and techniques, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Perform administrative tasks on a case-by-case basis, as needed
Work Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 years of significant experience in a clinical laboratory setting; ideally in a specimen management role
- Previous leadership experience is an asset
- Experience with laboratory activities, as well as strategies and systems, is highly desirable
- Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- High level of attention to detail, prioritization, and organizational skills
- Strong decision-making skills, with the ability to make quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to handle the physical demands of the position
