Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team as a Customer Service Benefit Advocate, working from the comfort of their own home. As a Customer Service Benefit Advocate, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our valued customers, responding to their inquiries and resolving issues related to their health benefits. You will utilize your excellent communication skills, empathy, and problem-solving abilities to guide customers through the healthcare benefits available to them, including enrollment in new plans.
Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Benefit Advocate, your primary responsibilities will include:
* Responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues on the first call, providing timely and accurate solutions
* Guiding and educating customers on the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven health care topics, empowering them to make informed decisions about their health plans
* Assisting customers in navigating our websites and encouraging self-sufficiency
* Collaborating with internal specialists and care providers to resolve complex issues and provide seamless support
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
* Minimum of 6 months of customer service experience
* Proficiency in computer navigation and Windows PC applications, with the ability to learn new and complex systems
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in the healthcare or insurance industry, familiarity with medical terminology, and a background in social work, behavioral health, or health promotion.
Benefits and Compensation
We offer a competitive hourly rate of $16.88 to $33.22 per hour, based on full-time employment, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, and opportunities for professional growth and development.
Work Environment and Company Culture
As a remote employee, you will have the flexibility to work from anywhere within the U.S., working an 8-hour shift schedule between 8:00 pm - 8:00 am EST, Monday - Friday, with occasional weekends and holidays required.
