Job Summary The Clinical Coding Analyst (CCA) is responsible for conducting high-impact, pre-bill inpatient chart reviews to identify coding opportunities, ensure compliance, and improve reimbursement accuracy. This role partners closely with Enjoin physicians and client teams to deliver timely, evidence-based recommendations that enhance both revenue integrity and documentation quality. Success in this role requires deep expertise in ICD-10 coding, strong clinical judgment, and the ability to translate complex findings into clear, actionable communication for clients. What You’ll Do Perform detailed pre-bill inpatient chart reviews to identify reimbursement opportunities and compliance risks Apply ICD-10-CM/PCS guidelines, AHA Coding Clinic guidance, and Medicare regulations to support accurate coding Collaborate with Enjoin physicians to review cases and validate DRG recommendations prior to client submission Deliver clear, concise, and timely client-facing recommendations, including increases, decreases, and informational updates Respond to client questions and rebuttals within established turnaround times Support denial review and appeal efforts for Medicare and third-party payers when applicable Review quality measures, including 30-day readmissions and mortality indicators Accurately document and track all recommendations and data within internal systems Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, regulatory updates, and industry best practices Utilize internal tools and resources (e.g., TruCode, coding references) to support analysis and decision-making Qualifications CCS, CDIP, or CCDS certification required (RHIT/RHIA preferred) 4+ years of acute inpatient coding, CDI, or auditing experience in a large hospital setting Deep knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, Coding Clinic guidance, and Medicare regulations Experience conducting pre-bill reviews and identifying DRG optimization opportunities Strong analytical and clinical reasoning skills with high attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including client-facing interaction Experience working remotely with the ability to manage workload independently Proficiency with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner, Meditech) and Microsoft Office tools Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and cross-functional teams Why Enjoin At Enjoin, We Offer a Comprehensive And Thoughtful Total Rewards Package Designed To Support Our Team Members Both Professionally And Personally Competitive compensation and performance-based bonus opportunities Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage 401(k) with company match Generous PTO package plus 8 paid holidays 100% remote work environment with company-provided equipment Professional development and growth opportunities, including leadership training and internal mobility Recognition programs and performance-based rewards aligned to our values Employee wellness resources and discount programs through our benefit offerings Supportive onboarding experience designed to set you up for success (“white glove” onboarding) A collaborative, people-first culture recognized for two consecutive years as a Great Place to Work, with a third year under Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
