Job Summary

As a Remote Data Entry Clerk – Help Desk Support Specialist, you'll play a vital role in ensuring seamless communication between our customers and our Help Desk team. Your primary responsibility will be to receive and process customer requests for technical assistance, submitting them into our ticketing system for review and resolution. You'll also be responsible for reviewing the outcome of each ticket, providing updates to customers via email, and ensuring that every interaction is characterized by exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

* Receive and process customer requests for technical assistance via phone, email, or online chat

  • Submit customer requests into the company's ticketing system for review and resolution by Help Desk technicians
  • Review each open ticket to determine the outcome, including whether the issue was resolved or requires further coordination with the customer
  • Email responses to customers to provide updates on the status of their requests
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer interactions and ticket resolutions
  • Collaborate with the Help Desk team to ensure seamless communication and efficient issue resolution
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in customer service and data entry

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., computer science, business administration) preferred

  • Previous experience in I.T. Help Desk ticketing or online customer service for a technology company or busy online retailer is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and colleagues
  • Strong typing skills (minimum 40 wpm) and attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accuracy and precision in data entry
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment, with minimal supervision
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Gmail)

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, Freshdesk) and customer relationship management (CRM) software

  • Knowledge of computer hardware and software, including operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux) and applications (Microsoft Office, Google Suite)
  • Familiarity with data entry software and systems (e.g., Excel, Access)
  • Certification in customer service or technical support (e.g., CompTIA A+, ITIL Foundation)
