Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for:
- Providing superior customer service and support to customers and sales force, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and effectively.
- Handling busy incoming telephone orders and answering customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal and external customers, including sales teams, purchasing departments, and external vendors.
- Processing customer orders efficiently and accurately, editing orders for correct pricing and codes, and ensuring all required paperwork is accurately completed.
- Selling industrial, medical, and specialty gases, welding supplies, and related equipment to customers, providing expert advice and guidance on equipment and materials needed for tasks.
- Demonstrating the use of equipment to customers, ensuring they understand the products and services we offer.
- Arranging for the delivery of cylinders and hard goods, ensuring timely and efficient delivery to customers.
- Stocking and maintaining showroom displays, ensuring a visually appealing and organized environment for customers.
- Obtaining or transferring merchandise to and from other locations, ensuring accurate inventory management and efficient logistics.
- Preparing invoices, accepting payments, and making change, ensuring accurate financial transactions and customer satisfaction.
- Communicating with external and internal customers by phone and in person, providing exceptional customer service and support.
- Coordinating with the purchasing department regarding product shortages or outages, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues.
- Observing and following all administrative and accounting procedures strictly, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring financial integrity and customer satisfaction.
- Computer skills or some knowledge of computer order entry systems (TIMS), ensuring efficient and accurate order processing.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, ensuring effective communication with customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of customer service and support.
- Ability to routinely lift 25 - 50 lbs., and occasionally lift 51 - 80 lbs., with frequent bending, ensuring physical ability to perform job duties.
- Ability to perform work during prolonged standing up to 8 hours, ensuring physical ability to perform job duties.
- Must be able to work overtime and Saturdays when necessary, ensuring flexibility and adaptability to meet business needs.
- Ability to work with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a timely and efficient manner, ensuring effective time management and customer satisfaction.
- Ability to use sound judgment to resolve both routine and non-routine issues, ensuring effective problem-solving and customer satisfaction.

Compensation and Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package, including:
- Hourly rate: $22.47 - $27.07 per hour.
- Expected hours: 25 - 36 per week.
