Responsibilities
As a Cloud Operations and Customer Support Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for:
Proactively managing and maintaining cloud infrastructure
, ensuring high availability and performance. This will involve monitoring and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure, identifying and addressing potential issues before they become major problems.
Responding to and resolving customer issues
, providing top-tier technical support and customer service. This will involve working closely with customers to understand their needs and providing timely and effective solutions to their problems.
Collaborating with various engineering teams
to support user consumption of applications in the cloud in a sophisticated enterprise environment. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud applications.
Engaging in application monitoring
to assist in identifying and addressing application performance or availability issues. This will involve using monitoring tools and techniques to identify potential issues and working with development teams to resolve them.
Continuously monitoring supporting application infrastructure
to help identify and report on scalability and performance issues. This will involve using monitoring tools and techniques to identify potential issues and working with development teams to resolve them.
Developing and maintaining comprehensive documentation
for application support procedures. This will involve creating and maintaining documentation that outlines procedures for troubleshooting and resolving common issues.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor's Degree in the IT field, related technical discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. This will provide a solid foundation in IT principles and practices.
- 5+ years of experience in IT, with a strong focus on cloud operations and customer support. This will provide a deep understanding of cloud operations and customer support principles and practices.
Proficiency with AWS cloud services and infrastructure management
. This will provide a strong foundation in cloud infrastructure management and AWS services.
Exceptional troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
. This will enable you to quickly identify and resolve complex technical issues.
Experience in providing customer-focused technical support
. This will enable you to provide exceptional customer service and support.
Knowledge of Linux distributions (e.g., RedHat, CentOS)
. This will provide a strong foundation in Linux operating systems and distributions.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and continuous integration tools (e.g., GitLab CI, Nexus). This will provide a strong understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
. This will enable you to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Nice-to-haves
While not required, the following skills and qualifications would be beneficial:
- Experience with cloud security and compliance
- Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
