Technical Content Writer - ERP Implementation
Role: Technical Writer Remote with some travel to Tennessee and Indiana offices. Contract only - 6 months W2/1099/C2C Pay Range: $35/hr to $40/hr W2 Note:
- Must have strong understanding of ERP systems to support the documentation process from the scratch.
Technical Writer – ERP Process Documentation We are looking for a Technical Writer with strong ERP systems knowledge and excellent communication skills to support the implementation of a new ERP platform. The role involves working closely with stakeholders across departments to understand, analyze, and document business workflows and operational processes from scratch. The ideal candidate should be confident interacting with business users, asking probing questions, gathering detailed information, and translating complex processes into clear, structured documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with stakeholders to gather and document ERP workflows and business processes
- Conduct discussions and workshops to understand current and future-state operations
- Create SOPs, process documents, workflow maps, user guides, and related documentation
- Identify process gaps, dependencies, and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with ERP functional and business teams to ensure documentation accuracy
Requirements:
- Experience in technical writing or business process documentation
- Strong understanding of ERP systems and enterprise workflows
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong stakeholder management and interviewing skills
- Ability to work independently in ambiguous environments and build documentation from the ground up
- Experience with tools such as Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, Jira, or similar is preferred
