Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer – Cloud and Big Data Application Development

Job Summary:

We're looking for a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to work on our cloud-based data platforms, designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, and developing robust data models to support our business intelligence and analytics initiatives. As a key member of our data engineering team, you'll be responsible for architecting and implementing data solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business, while ensuring data quality, security, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Design and implement scalable data pipelines to collect, process, and analyze large datasets from various sources, including cloud-based platforms, Hadoop, and relational databases.

• Develop and maintain robust data models, data warehouses, and data lakes to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data science, product management, and engineering, to identify business requirements and design data solutions that meet those needs.
• Develop and maintain ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes, data set frameworks, and tools for continuous and batch processing.
• Work with data science teams to integrate machine learning models and algorithms into our data platforms.
• Design and implement data governance frameworks to ensure data quality, security, and compliance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in data engineering, including cloud-based platforms, big data, and data science.
• Collaborate with other teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to optimize data workflows.

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with a strong focus on cloud-based platforms, big data, and data science.
• Proficiency in programming languages, including Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with cloud-based platforms, including Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and data governance principles.
• Experience with data integration tools, including ETL, data transformation, and data quality.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with Hadoop, Hive, or PySpark.

• Experience with data visualization tools, including Tableau, Power BI, or D3.js.
• Familiarity with medical records and healthcare data standards.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems, such as Git.
