Job Summary
As a Healthcare Data Entry Representative, you'll play a critical role in collecting and processing sensitive healthcare information. You'll work closely with our team to ensure accurate and timely data entry, while maintaining the highest standards of confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Key Responsibilities
* Collect and process healthcare data from various sources, including medical reviews, claims, and Explanation of Benefits (EOB) documents
- Enter data into Microsoft Word or Excel, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations, ensuring sensitive information is handled with care
- Collaborate with our team to resolve data entry issues and improve processes
- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of healthcare terminology, including diagnosis codes and medical verbiage
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in healthcare data entry
Essential Qualifications
* 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in data entry or a related role
- Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality protocols
- Excellent data entry skills, with the ability to accurately and efficiently process large volumes of data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve data entry issues
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate with our team
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with claims, EOB documents, and medical reviews
- Familiarity with diagnosis codes and medical terminology
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Certification in medical coding or a related field (e.g., CPC, CCS)
