Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment, scheduling and dispatching deliveries as needed, and ensuring customer satisfaction. You'll work closely with our dispatch and customer service teams to manage customer material delivery and plant inventories, while maintaining compliance with applicable environmental regulations. This role requires a strong and diverse skillset, including excellent communication skills, analytical abilities, and a willingness to learn and adapt to new situations.
Key Responsibilities
* Actively participate in weekly safety meetings (Toolbox Talks) to ensure a safe working environment
- Accurately proportion cement, aggregates, water, and admixtures in batches to load trucks, ensuring timely and efficient delivery
- Collaborate with dispatch and customer service teams to manage customer material delivery and plant inventories
- Maintain compliance with applicable environmental regulations, ensuring a sustainable and responsible approach to our operations
- Conduct daily inspections of the plant and complete maintenance and record keeping, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment
- Work overtime during peak season to meet customer demands and ensure timely delivery
- Modify duties and tasks as needed to meet company requirements and priorities
- Call customers in advance of late deliveries or delays in service, ensuring transparency and communication
- Proactively reach out to customers on new secured projects, building relationships and driving business growth
Education and/or Experience
* Previous experience in customer service, sales, or a related field is preferred but not required
- Management experience is also preferred but not required
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Flexible, well-organized, detail-oriented, and multi-tasked, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Job Requirements and Skills
* Must be able to perform duties safely, with a strong commitment to safety and sustainability
- Plant Automation- Command Alkon knowledge is preferred but not required
- Solid communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues, and management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify problems, gather and analyze information, and make recommendations
- Basic math skills, with the ability to accurately calculate and manage inventory and deliveries
- Ability to work well in group problem-solving, with a collaborative and team-oriented approach
- Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to identify problems, gather and analyze information, and make recommendations
