Job Summary

As a Provider Data Entry Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of provider demographic and contract affiliation information within our health plan system. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, efficiency, and a strong understanding of healthcare management principles. You'll be responsible for receiving provider information from external sources, validating the provided information, and accurately updating provider records in our computer system.

Key Responsibilities

* Receive and process incoming requests for provider information updates

  • Validate provider information using knowledge and experience in healthcare management
  • Accurately update provider records in our computer system, emphasizing precision and timeliness
  • Conduct regular audits of loaded provider records to ensure quality and financial accuracy
  • Provide documented feedback when necessary to ensure data integrity
  • Support system/health plan integration efforts and participate in training existing staff and new hires
  • Assist in system-related testing activities

Essential Qualifications

* 1+ years of managed care experience and/or medical office experience with coding or credentialing experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Adherence to Managed Care Organization's policies and confidentiality requirements
  • Reliable attendance based on the agreed-upon schedule
  • Understanding and compliance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers, and customers

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in claims, coding, or credentialing

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and healthcare management software
