Key Responsibilities
As a Licensed Branch Customer Service and Sales Representative, your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing a high level of support services to members related to the sales and service function, including servicing insurance policies, processing applications, renewals, and amendments, and selling travel, tours, airline tickets, and membership products.
- Generating leads, updating members on travel and insurance specials, and providing travel information.
- Providing cashiering services to members, including taking insurance payments, travel, and membership payments, sale of tickets, and travel money products, processing remittance/depository transfers, and balancing cash drawers.
- Responding to customer inquiries and referring to agents when appropriate.
- Providing a high level of administrative support to Travel and Insurance Agents during peak periods.
- Conducting outbound promotional calls for insurance and/or travel products.
- Participating in a team environment to promote customer satisfaction and consistent service following the customer service model.
- Receiving and resolving member/customer complaints and seeking assistance from management in complaint resolution as necessary.
- Participating in office events developed to generate revenue, improve member awareness of products, and support local community activities.
Essential Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:
- An active State Property & Casualty License or the ability to attain within 90 days of start date.
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in the insurance or travel industry.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations to accurately perform monetary transactions.
Preferred Qualifications
While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:
- Insurance and travel terminology.
- General insurance and/or travel regulations.
- Underwriting procedures.
- Sales regulatory and compliance guidelines.
- Travel Systems (e.g., Focal Point, View point, ITT, AXIS, etc.) and/or Insurance Systems (e.g., PPS, POS, IMS, IPM) and/or membership systems.
- Experience with computer software applications (Word, Excel, etc.) and Web-based operations.
Work Environment
As a Licensed Branch Customer Service and Sales Representative, you will be based in an arenaflex branch facility, where you will work closely with a team of professionals to deliver exceptional customer service and promote arenaflex products and services. You will be required to work irregular hours, including holidays and weekends, and may be required to participate in community events.
