Experienced Ocean Freight Specialist – Data Entry and Carrier Development

About the Role:

We're seeking an experienced Ocean Freight Specialist to join our team at arenaflex. As a key member of our ocean product development team, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of ocean volumes and enhancing the development of our ocean product. You'll work closely with our MD of Ocean, carrier development team, and sales and operations teams to implement strategies that increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

* Execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product

• Work closely with the MD of Ocean to support carrier development, pricing, and analysis of carrier service, routings, and carrier performance
• Assist in implementing pricing programs and reviewing volume targets to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Communicate strategies and market conditions to internal and external stakeholders, including sales and operations teams, global trade lane team, and customers
• Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded
• Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity
• Work with the MD of Ocean and regional ocean management team to promote the ocean product and support sales and operations as needed
• Manage annual budget and control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets
• Collaborate with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product

Essential Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent

• At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing
• Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience with ocean carrier management systems and software

• Knowledge of ocean freight regulations and compliance
• Familiarity with data analysis and reporting tools
• Experience with budget management and financial analysis

Compensation and Benefits:

We offer a competitive salary and bonus structure, as well as a range of benefits and perks, including:

• Annual salary: $57,836.00 - $131,686.00 (Colorado residents only)
