Job Summary:
As a Customer Service Agent at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer experiences across our water utilities services. You'll be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers, handling a wide range of inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide exceptional customer service via phone, email, or in-person, responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner
- Process customer payments, prepare bills, and make adjustments as needed
- Handle work orders for service disconnections, reconnections, and new orders
- Read and record meters and water usage
- Process requests to turn water service on and off
- Establish and maintain customer accounts, ensuring accurate account information
- Input and query databases to make financial adjustments and prorate changes
- Perform field work, including installing new meters, repairing leaks, and assisting with emergency repairs
- Assist with special projects and other related duties as needed
Other Responsibilities:
* Verify credit and deposit information
- Review customer correspondence
- Provide information about community financial assistance resources
- Review income eligibility applications, tax returns, and transcripts
- Instruct lower-level employees
- Transmit and receive radio communication to and from field personnel
Essential Qualifications:
* Bilingual in Spanish and English (written and verbal)
- 1+ year of experience in the water utilities industry or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and database management software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience with customer service software and systems
- Knowledge of water utilities regulations and policies
- Certification in customer service or a related field
- Experience working in a remote or virtual environment
