Experienced Customer Service Representative – Specialty Mail Order Pharmacy

Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment. You'll be the primary point of contact for patients, answering their questions, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their needs are met. Your expertise will be essential in coordinating and handling new prescription requests and reorders, including verifying and updating benefits, assisting patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system, collecting and processing copay payments, obtaining approvals, and collaborating with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with complex issues.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional phone support to patients, responding to their inquiries, addressing their concerns, and ensuring their needs are met
- Coordinate and handle new prescription requests and reorders, including verifying and updating benefits
- Assist patients with deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
- Collect and process copay payments, obtain approvals, and collaborate with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with complex issues
- Work closely with patients to resolve issues, answer questions, and provide education on medication usage and benefits
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve issues, improve processes, and enhance patient satisfaction
Essential Qualifications
* Dynamic IL Pharmacy Technician License or willingness to apply for an IL Pharmacy Technician License
- One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness

* Healthcare work experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and retention
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, colleagues, and external partners
