Job Description:
As a Senior Supervisor in our VFX team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire VFX process on a slate of movie projects assigned by the Director, VFX. Your key responsibilities will include:
Collaboration and Communication:
Working closely with production teams, Studio Executive Producers, and Finance during development and pre-production to ensure seamless execution of VFX projects.
Script Development and Budgeting:
Studying scripts, creating VFX breakdowns and budgets, and planning manufacturing and post-production.
VFX Team Management:
Building and managing the visual effects teams, including recruiting Supervisors, manufacturers, and carriers, and negotiating with vendors.
Agreement Negotiations and Compliance:
Overseeing agreement negotiations and liaising with legal to ensure compliance with costs and organizational regulations.
VFX Delivery and Tracking:
Handling VFX delivery progress and value file tracking, and guiding VFX manufacturers to troubleshoot schedule and budget issues.
Reporting and Analysis:
Supporting the expansion and maintenance of constant reporting on budget, schedule, and VFX development.
Quality Control:
Working with the VFX Manager and VFX Producer to ensure the highest quality work.
Networking and Knowledge Sharing:
Gaining knowledge of and networking with new groups and up-and-comers, and monitoring skills availability.
Technical Knowledge:
Possessing technical knowledge of the visual effects process, including 4K pipelines and rising technologies for improving workflows.
Tax Incentives and Rebates:
Understanding tax incentives and rebates.
Strategic Planning:
Assisting in crafting, implementing, and executing strategic tasks and branch workflows in alignment with the Director, VFX.
Qualifications:

2+ years of experience:
In managing multiple projects at a time in managerial roles, including VFX Producer, Post Producer, VFX Executive Producer, VFX Supervisor, etc.
Passion for VFX:
An ardent interest in visual effects and the era and artistry that makes it possible.
Vendor Management:
Enjoy collecting and negotiating vendor bids, and budgeting for visual effects.
International Relations:
International relations and discretion in handling sensitive issues and exclusive subjects.
Leadership Skills:
Strong government conversation and mastery of the ability to lead without authority.
Industry Knowledge:
Understanding of modern trends for VFX manufacturing workflows.
Team Player:
A team player who flourishes in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.
Self-Motivation:
Preference and self-motivation to continuously analyze and improve processes.
Communication Skills:
Strong written and verbal communication capabilities and the ability to multi-assign.
Relationship Building:
Music report on fostering, building, and retaining relationships with filmmakers, VFX Supervisors, VFX Manufacturers, and key vendors.
