Who We're Looking For This position will be responsible for designing and implementing architecture solutions within a specific business domain, such as data, group of applications, infrastructure, or security. They work closely with project teams, business stakeholders, and enterprise architects to ensure that their domain’s architecture aligns with organizational goals and standards. The Domain Architect is a technical expert in their area, creating detailed models, roadmaps, and guidelines to guide development and operations. This role will also act as the team expert and mentor and guide other team members.- Some of What You'll Do Scope of the Role: Direct Reports: ​This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports​

Key Responsibilities

Design and maintain architecture for the assigned products in alignment with Syniverse’s standards. Analyze business and technical requirements to develop domain-specific solutions. Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams during solution implementation. Define domain-specific standards, best practices, and governance frameworks. Conduct technology evaluations and recommend tools, platforms, or systems to optimize domain performance. Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in the domain. Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and enterprise architecture guidelines. Work collaboratively with other of Syniverse Architecture leads to identify synergies and reuse opportunities across the organization. Identify and overlook the creation of shared components and the re-use of the same according to the Enterprise guidelines. Act as a mentor and SME to other team members. Experience, Education, and Certifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent work experience 10+ years of experience in a large-scale product development environment Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, CISSP) are a plus. Domain architecture capabilities demonstrated through experience and a proven track record, at an advanced level, across many of the following dimensions: Business Architecture: Functional modeling, business services, process flows and metrics; Understand key value drivers and their role in enterprise architecture Data Architecture: data management, large-scale data stores and technologies, data modeling, data movement/ETL, data lineage, data governance Integration Architecture: Messaging, queuing, transaction management, rollback/transactional boundaries, error handling, complex schema negotiation/review API / Architecture: API management platforms, RESTful services implementations; federated security models User Interface Architecture: tiered architecture, modern web application development concepts, desktop, mobile and phone platforms; user interface patterns, event-based architectures; understand User Experience concepts and value drivers. Operations Architecture: high-availability, reliability, operability, failover, disaster recovery, capacity/performance management Platforms / Networking: virtualization technologies; cloud operating models (private, public, hybrid); infrastructure knowledge on operating systems, partitioning, high-availability, platform management, network management; services Security Architecture: security threats and technologies; secure software architecture and development, vulnerability assessment & penetration testing, security policies and corresponding audit requirements. Additional Requirements: A self motivated, high performer who works well either independently or in a team setting, requiring little or no direct supervision. Excellent analytical, multitasking, detail orientation and familiarity with testing and troubleshooting techniques. Excellent prioritization and decision making skills in a fast paced, time sensitive environment. Excellent control and follow-up skills. Excellent customer service skills and demeanor, along with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical clients.
