Your work ensures patients receive timely, accurate, and compassionate service throughout their healthcare journey. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Position: Full- Time Potential Start Date: 5/26/2026 Location: Remote (Must pass an internet speed test/ we provide the equipment) Reports to: Patient Support Center Supervisor Compensation: $18- $20 per hour Operational Hours: Operational hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 9:00 PM CST (Must be flexible within business hours) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- POSITION SUMMARY: Provide day-to-day support for patient care coordination by processing referrals, communicating with patients, providers, pharmacies, and healthcare facilities, and ensuring treatment plans are completed accurately and efficiently. You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for patient questions regarding referrals, medications, imaging, lab work, authorizations, and other care-related needs. Strong communication skills, multitasking ability, and critical thinking are essential. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as the primary point of contact for patient questions regarding referrals, imaging, lab work, medications, and treatment plan needs Collaborate with healthcare providers and facilities to ensure all aspects of patient care are coordinated effectively Manage referrals, tests, procedures, and timely delivery of care services Coordinate and communicate medication and authorization information with pharmacies and insurance providers Communicate with patients and healthcare facilities regarding the status of labs, imaging, and medical services Complete scheduling requests and schedule patients appropriately based on treatment plans Utilize critical thinking to identify issues, evaluate options, and implement solutions Maintain accurate patient records, demographic information, and documentation of all patient interactions Monitor patient progress and satisfaction to identify opportunities for improvement Treat patients with empathy, professionalism, and compassion in all written and verbal communication Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality at all times Other duties as assigned EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or GED required Bachelor’s degree preferred 2+ years of customer service or healthcare experience preferred 1+ years of EHR system experience (athenaOne preferred) Strong understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes required Experience working remotely preferred, especially in high-volume inbound and outbound call environments Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Google Suite, Microsoft Office, and other computer systems Strong customer service mindset with compassion and professionalism Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations SKILLS & COMPETENCIES: Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Ability to multitask and manage high-volume patient interactions Ability to work independently and as part of a team Dependable, punctual, and able to manage time effectively Adaptable and open to change in a dynamic healthcare environment Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Excellent organizational and time management skills Team-oriented mindset with strong collaboration skills Empathetic and patient-focused approach to service WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Remote position requiring high-speed internet and a secure HIPAA-compliant workspace Prolonged sitting and regular computer use required Exposure to sensitive and confidential patient information Occasional overtime may be required based on workload and business demands WHY JOIN GETIXHEALTH?: Founded in 1992, GetixHealth is a trusted leader in healthcare revenue cycle management, with offices across the U.S. and India.
