Skip Tracing Specialist Location: Remote based out of Rome, NY Starting Rate - $28.14 - $35.17/hour, actual rate will depend on experience. Status: Full Time The Opportunity - Skip Tracing Specialist AmeriCU Credit Union is hiring a Skip Tracing Specialist to join our Credit Solutions team. This Skip Tracing Specialist role is critical to helping locate members, resolve delinquent accounts, and support financial recovery efforts while delivering a professional and empathetic member experience. If you have strong investigative skills, collections experience, and enjoy solving complex problems, this Skip Tracing Specialist opportunity may be a great fit. What You’ll Do – Skip Tracing Specialist Skip Tracing & Investigations Conduct advanced skip tracing to locate borrowers and secured collateral using internal systems, credit bureau data, and third-party tools Research and verify updated contact details including addresses, phone numbers, employment, and assets Use tools such as DNA (Symitar), TLO, public records, and online databases to locate hard-to-reach individuals Provide actionable intelligence on accounts to improve recovery outcomes and portfolio performance Account Resolution & Member Engagement Manage delinquent accounts through inbound and outbound communication (phone, email, text) Re-establish contact with members and guide accounts toward resolution Negotiate repayment solutions including payment plans, loan modifications, and hardship arrangements Evaluate members’ financial situations to determine appropriate solutions Process hardship applications and make informed recommendations Communicate professionally and empathetically in challenging conversations Provide financial guidance that supports long-term member success Contact references, employers, and related parties when appropriate Grow Your Career With Us!
