As a key member of our Corporate Extortion Prevention team, you'll play a vital role in driving our vision and mission to identify, investigate, and prevent wrong payments to merchants. We're seeking an exceptional and energetic individual to join our team as a Senior Fraud Investigator, responsible for leading complex examinations and developing frameworks to identify and prevent fraud.

Our Corporate Extortion Prevention program is one of many anti-fraud initiatives within our organization, aimed at preventing and detecting fraudulent activities across our business operations. As a Senior Fraud Investigator, you'll work closely with our global teams, including Corporate AP, Finance, Legal, and technical support groups, to drive our mission and vision.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Fraud Investigator, you'll be responsible for:

  • Executing complex examinations, deep dives, and special projects on time, while delivering proposals and findings to senior leaders and partners
  • Auditing digital evidence, records, and other sources of data to identify potential fraud
  • Gathering, investigating, and preserving evidence for reference to legal or law enforcement agencies
  • Summarizing evidence, facts, and next steps to leaders at all levels in regular business updates
  • Conducting interviews with witnesses and key individuals to support investigations (both remote and in-person)
  • Driving efficiency across teams that support investigations by creating professional processes and meeting objectives
  • Recognizing new fraud schemes and MOs to develop models and frameworks that identify and prevent fraud
  • Practicing judgment and objectivity in a highly controlled environment to raise instances of fraud
  • Exhibiting effective writing through clear, concise, and compelling narrative creation that reports complex fraud investigations, new program ideas, and regular senior leadership updates
  • Understanding and following arenaflex's policies and procedures on receipt processing and exchange handling for Corporate sellers at the highest levels of control

About the Team

Our team is dedicated to preventing wrong payments worldwide for arenaflex. Our clients are arenaflex's investors as well as the teams we support to close investigations. As a Senior Fraud Investigator, you'll lead the India Tasks team and proactively close open investigations while designing better ways to identify fraud. You'll work with colleagues globally, including the U.S., Costa Rica, and Slovakia, to drive our mission and vision.

Essential Capabilities

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A four-year degree in a relevant field, such as Fraud Criminology, Accounting, Computer Science, Business, Math, Knowledge, Finance, Legal Studies, or Policing
  • 6+ years of experience in fraud investigation or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience leading start-to-finish investigations
  • Experience with coding in SQL
  • Strong analytical and logical skills with the ability to work across geographies to meet the team's goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to convey complex issues

Preferred Capabilities

While not required, the following skills and experience would be beneficial:

  • Professional certification (CPA, CIA, PMP, CFE)
  • Experience with criminological data analysis, data visualization, or data mining techniques to identify patterns of fraud
  • Experience working in a high-paced environment with a high level of uncertainty
  • Direct management of remote or globally distributed teams
  • Work experience in public accounting, internal audit, or external audits, and SOX compliance practice
  • Outstanding leadership and prioritization skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience conducting interviews with witnesses and individuals of interest

As a Senior Fraud Investigator, you'll be responsible for:

  • Greeting and assisting customers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Understanding customer needs and recommending appropriate products or services
  • Demonstrating product knowledge and providing accurate information to customers
  • Assisting in product selection, suggesting alternatives and options where applicable
  • Making business transactions, managing money, and processing payments with precision
  • Keeping the sales area clean and organized, ensuring that merchandise is displayed correctly
  • Monitoring product status and assisting with returns and exchanges
  • Collaborating with team members to achieve individual and team marketing goals
  • Building and maintaining strong customer relationships through excellent service
  • Staying connected with product knowledge, promotions, and company policy
  • Handling customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner
  • Following all company safety policies, procedures, and protocols

Eligibility

To be considered for this role, you'll need:

  • Previous sales or customer experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and friendly approachable behavior
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Basic math skills and the ability to manage financial transactions
  • Attention to detail and ability to keep the workplace clean and organized
  • Flexible working hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Knowledge of the products/services offered by arenaflex is a plus
