Bioinformatics Specialist - Protein Structure Prediction (AlphaFold / ESMFold) - Contract to Hire

We are looking for a Bioinformatics Specialist / Computational Biologist with deep expertise in AI-driven structural biology to assist with protein structure prediction and molecular modeling. Project Scope: The primary objective is to utilize AlphaFold (and/or similar state-of-the-art AI systems like ESMFold, RoseTTAFold) to predict, analyze, and model protein structures and molecular interactions relevant to our pipeline. Key Responsibilities: Run and configure AlphaFold/AlphaFold-Multimer pipelines for protein structure prediction. Analyze and validate predicted models using pLDDT scores and PAE plots. Perform molecular docking or interaction analysis between proteins and small molecules/ligands (if applicable). Interpret computational data and translate it into actionable insights for chemistry/biology workflows. Required Qualifications: Proven experience working with AlphaFold, ESMFold, or Rosetta. Strong background in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field (Ph.D. or Master’s preferred). Proficiency in Python and handling biological data structures (PDB files, FASTA, etc.). Experience with Linux environments, high-performance computing (HPC), or cloud-based GPU infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud). Ability to deliver clean, documented code and reproducible workflows.
