Position Summary

As a Customer Service Representative - Work From Home Florida, you'll be responsible for providing telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Verifying and revivifying benefits: You'll ensure that patients' benefits are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Translating and entering new or refill prescriptions: You'll accurately translate and enter prescriptions into our pharmacy information system.
  • Communicating and collecting copay amounts: You'll communicate with patients and collect copay amounts in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Obtaining authorizations: You'll work with insurance companies and healthcare providers to obtain authorizations for specialty medications.
  • Resolving and deferring orders: You'll identify and resolve orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues.

Required Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • One year experience in a customer service role: You'll have a proven track record of handling and resolving complex customer needs over the phone.
  • One year work experience with Windows-based applications: You'll be proficient in using Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications.
  • One year computer keyboarding experience: You'll have strong keyboarding skills and aptitude.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we prefer candidates with:

  • Healthcare work experience: You'll have a background in healthcare and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology.
  • Familiarity with benefits and insurance: You'll have a solid understanding of benefits and insurance concepts.

Education

You'll need to have a verifiable high school diploma or equivalent.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is: $17.00 - $25.65 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
