Scope of Responsibilities
As a customer service representative, you'll be the primary point of contact for our customers, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded. Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to customer inquiries received by phone, email, and fax, documenting interactions in SalesForce
- Recommending, quoting, sampling, and selling VBS products
- Documenting opportunities where VBS products don't meet customer requirements and transferring customers to the technical community for further discussion
- Managing all aspects of order fulfillment, from receipt of order to delivery and invoicing
- Entering new orders, verifying for accuracy, and processing order changes and cancellations
- Recommending alternative product constructions if required
- Monitoring open work orders and expediting as needed
- Proactively notifying customers of late or problem orders and offering VBS product alternatives
- Resolving customer-specific freight and logistics issues through consultation with arenaflex Shipping Departments
- Working knowledge and demonstrated ability to use the E-price tool to support customer inquiries
- Resolving information-related customer complaints and implementing corrective action
- Handling complaints for pricing mistakes, order entry errors, and customer accommodations
- Proactively engaging assigned accounts to better understand business applications and uncover missed opportunities
- Assisting with order entry overflow for repeat orders and standard price quotations overflow
- Entering new customer information
- Contributing to Customer Service Improvement Teams as required
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent business experience
- 1-3 years of previous customer service experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Experience using an ERP system is highly preferred
- Excellent customer service skills, verbal and written communication skills, and ability to learn quickly
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, ability to work under pressure, and collaborative team spirit
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
- Experience using Salesforce.com is a plus
