Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Customer Service/Claims Verification Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our claims team, you'll be responsible for communicating with customers, adjusters, mortgage companies, and other stakeholders to resolve property damage claims. Your primary focus will be on providing exceptional customer service, ensuring timely and accurate claim processing, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

* Communicate with various individuals involved in the claims process, including homeowners, adjusters, mortgage companies, and other stakeholders, to handle property damage claim requirements

  • Answer questions and respond to requests, inquiries, and complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Review and research claim information provided, make appropriate follow-up calls to resolve issues, and process claim checks following standard policies and procedures
  • Ensure that internal and external standards are met on a consistent basis
  • Efficiently and accurately enter information into company proprietary systems
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve complex claims issues and provide exceptional customer service

Essential Qualifications

* 1-2 years of experience in customer service, claims verification, or a related field

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and stakeholders
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex claims issues
  • Proficiency in using proprietary systems and software, with the ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of adaptability and flexibility

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working in the insurance industry, with knowledge of claims processes and procedures

  • Certification in claims verification or a related field (e.g., CPCU, CIC)
  • Strong knowledge of property damage claims, including causes, types, and mitigation strategies
  • Experience working with customers who have experienced property damage or loss
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex claims issues
