Field Training Audiologist - Houston Position: Field Training Audiologist Reports to Title: Director of Training and Education Department/Division: Training/Commercial Sales Team Primary Work Location: Houston and East Texas, LA, MS and AL Job Code/Classification: Salary; Exempt Position Overview The Field Training Audiologist will contribute to sales and profitability by providing product and software training designed to increase customer knowledge, skills and familiarity with the ReSound product lines. The position also functions to provide audiological support, which includes hearing aid fitting and troubleshooting assistance, to influence buying behavior change from our customers. This position also includes providing audiology, technical and product training to ReSound employees. This position requires extensive field travel over large geographies with overnights on a weekly basis.   • Regularly communicate pertinent account information to territory sales team members
  • Execute high quality and consistent customer training using Adult Learning Principles to illicit product buying behavior change
  • Support sales of ReSound products within the US by working closely and cohesively with assigned sales teams
  • Create customer training needs assessments and training plans to provide appropriate training solutions for accounts with measurable outcomes
  • Assist sales teams and overall sales support at national level conventions
  • Primary events include, but are not limited to, the following: Consumer Education Seminars, Open Houses, and CEU Seminars and ongoing “in clinic” product training sessions
  • Play key role in promotion and demonstration of products during launch trainings
  • Provide consultative resources which will help develop the business growth of the customer to meet ReSound’s business needs
  • Schedule travel independently and within corporate guidelines that maximize the effectiveness and cost efficiencies while maintaining a full zoned week schedule.
  • Maintain appropriate administrative records. This includes maintaining expenses within published corporate guidelines, keeping your work calendar and zonal planning up to date, and attending all team and management calls
  • Interact with Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Product Management, Technical Support and Research & Development to ensure quality customer experiences
  • Continuously develop training content through provided materials as well as creation of new materials
  • Other duties as assigned by management

  • Independently prioritize and forecast a balanced diverse work schedule through organization and time management skills
  • Proficient with oral and written communication across and upward
  • Confident in public speaking and workshop facilitations

Required Qualifications

  • Education:
  • AuD or PhD in Audiology. Master’s Degree in Audiology considered
  • Current state license in Audiology
  • Experience:
  • Clinical experience fitting patients with amplification in a variety of audiological environments
  • Travel:
  • Extensive travel by air, auto and train
  • Ability to travel 75% of the time
  • Ability to manage travel expenses through personal and corporate reimbursement
