Job Title: Editor-in-Chief, SUCCESS® Magazine Reports To: Managing Director and COO, SUCCESS Enterprises Position Summary: SUCCESS Enterprises is the leading authority on personal development and human potential for ambitious people who want both inner growth and outer achievement. As Editor-in-Chief of SUCCESS® Magazine, leads the editorial, creative, and strategic direction of one of America’s most enduring personal development media brands. The EIC is responsible for shaping the editorial voice and brand vision across print and digital platforms, building high-level talent partnerships, managing cross-functional teams, and driving innovation in content production and delivery. This executive role balances creative leadership with operational oversight, ensuring the successful production of award-winning content, print issues, and digital publications that inspire millions of readers and followers worldwide. Key Responsibilities: 1. Editorial Leadership & Content Strategy
- Execute the editorial vision and content strategy for
SUCCESS® Magazine and SUCCESS.com.
- Lead the editorial calendar planning, ensuring timely, high-quality content across print, web, email, and social media platforms.
- Oversee writing, editing, fact-checking, and proofreading to maintain consistent voice, tone, and journalistic integrity.
- Direct special issues, cover stories, and long-form feature content involving high-profile individuals and global thought leaders.
2. Team & Operations Management
- Manage and mentor a small, high-performing team of editors, writers, designers, and content creators.
- Coordinate with art direction, video, marketing, and digital product teams to align brand storytelling across channels.
- Foster a collaborative culture of creativity, accountability, and innovation within the publishing division.
3. Strategic Planning & Brand Development
- Drive the long-term publishing strategy aligned with broader company goals, including audience growth, monetization, and market differentiation.
- Identify emerging content trends and opportunities for innovation in storytelling and digital engagement.
- Align editorial initiatives with brand and revenue objectives, including partnerships and special projects.
4. Talent Partnerships & Collaborations
- Build and maintain relationships with high-level contributors, influencers, public figures, and entrepreneurs to feature in SUCCESS® content.
- Oversee talent acquisition for editorial interviews, covers, thought-leader contributors.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to secure strategic content partnerships and joint ventures.
5. Media Relations & Brand Representation
- Serve as a public-facing ambassador for
SUCCESS® Magazine at media events, conferences, and brand activations.
- Represent the editorial voice in media interviews, promotional campaigns, and PR initiatives.
- Oversee press releases, brand messaging, and media kits in collaboration with PR and marketing teams.
6. Print & Digital Production Oversight
- Manage the full-cycle production of
SUCCESS® Magazine, from concept development to design, printing, and distribution.
- Oversee editorial and production schedules to ensure seamless execution and on-time delivery of each issue.
- Supervise content migration and optimization across digital channels, including the website, newsletters, and mobile apps.
7. Digital Publications & Web Editorial Strategy
- Lead editorial direction and strategy for SUCCESS.com and other digital properties.
- Integrate SEO best practices, performance analytics, and audience engagement strategies into content development.
- Collaborate with product and tech teams to enhance UX/UI for content delivery and digital magazine experiences.
Qualifications & Expertise:
- Proven editorial leadership at a senior level within media, publishing, or lifestyle brands.
- Deep experience in magazine production, digital publishing, and multi-platform content strategy.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
- Strategic thinker with a strong grasp of content marketing, audience development, and brand journalism.
- Demonstrated success in managing creative teams and developing high-impact editorial partnerships.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and project management skills.
