Job Overview

As an Elementary Math Tutor at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our students. You'll work closely with students to develop their math skills, build their confidence, and inspire a love for learning. Your expertise and passion for math will help our students overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Responsibilities

* Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to elementary students in math, focusing on basic skills, entry-level geometry, and pre-algebra

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans tailored to each student's needs and learning style
• Conduct sessions in a professional and engaging manner, using a variety of teaching methods to keep students motivated and interested
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular session reports to our office and families
• Effectively communicate with students, parents, and our office team to ensure seamless service delivery
• Follow up with office staff to ensure timely completion of student enrollment packages and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction
• Continuously evaluate and improve your teaching methods to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students

Minimum Qualifications

* Minimum 2 years of experience in the education field, with a preference for specialized education fields

• Minimum 2 years of experience in tutoring or teaching, with a strong background in math education
• Credentialed tutors or graduate degrees are a plus, but not a requirement
• Experience with basic database/data entry and ability to prepare for each tutoring session (lesson plan)
• Strong administration skills, including typing, PC, and recording skills
• Reliable transportation with current car insurance and access to the internet, a computer, and a smartphone

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience working with students with diverse learning needs and abilities

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to changing circumstances
• Familiarity with educational software and technology, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and systems
