Job Summary
As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing phone support to patients receiving life-saving specialty medication treatment. You will be the primary point of contact for patients, handling new patient requests and reorders, and ensuring that their medication needs are met promptly and efficiently. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide phone support to patients receiving specialty medication treatment, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs in a compassionate and empathetic manner
- Handle new patient requests and reorders, ensuring that medication needs are met promptly and efficiently
- Assist patients in deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system
- Collect and process copay payments, obtain approvals, and work with insurance agencies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to resolve and process orders with debt claims or clinical issues
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that patient medication needs are met, and that financial and clinical expectations are met before satisfaction
- Utilize Windows-based applications, such as Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications, to manage patient information and medication orders
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that all necessary information is documented and readily available
Essential Qualifications
* One year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
- One year of work experience with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
- One year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and preference
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
* Six months of experience resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via telephone
- Medical experience and knowledge of benefits, insurance, medications, and clinical terminology
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and retention

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance agencies, healthcare providers, and internal teams
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve complex customer issues and concerns

- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Proficiency in Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications
