The Role
As a Ticket/Gate Agent, you'll be responsible for managing the check-in and boarding processes, ensuring customer satisfaction and safety. This role involves handling baggage, operating loading bridges, and assisting passengers, including unaccompanied minors and those with disabilities. You'll prioritize safety and security while embracing diversity in the workplace.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the check-in process and boarding process, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for our passengers
- Make gate announcements and ensure customers have accurate travel documentation
- Tag and lift baggage from scales to conveyor belts, with some bags weighing up to 70 pounds
- Operate loading bridges and open, close, and secure aircraft doors
- Escort unaccompanied minors and disabled passengers throughout the airport
- Prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data
Requirements:
* Possess a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
- Be at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
- Proficiency in English with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Possess basic digital literacy
- Pass a physical ability test (PAT) and a Customer Service Assessment
- Ability to hold airport-specific requirements such as a SIDA Badge and Customs Seal
Nice-to-Haves:
* Previous experience in customer service or a related field
- Familiarity with airport operations and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
