Experienced Part-Time Data Entry Specialist – American Airlines Remote

As a Part-Time Data Entry Specialist, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our customers and colleagues in all aspects of end-user computing, including software and hardware installations, updates, and general support of PC desktop/PC systems and peripherals. You will be the go-to expert for all IT-related queries, ensuring that our customers receive seamless and efficient support.
What You'll Do
* Arrange, install, test, and maintain IT clients' desktop software and hardware; support mobile workforce
- Provide guidance to IT clients on all aspects of end-user computing and desktop-based LAN systems software
- Responsible for start-to-finish issue ownership, resolution, and communication with representatives
- Provide local training to clients
- Resolve and close tickets/work orders supporting end-user desktops and peripherals
- Answer customer care issues escalated from the Helpdesk
- Contribute to desktop projects (global installs/renovations) as a project team member
- Remotely analyze and resolve requests using remote tools
- Investigate and collaborate with other departments to assist with infrastructure-related issues
- Record client interactions in incident management system including resource management
- Recover data from hard drives and perform data migration
- Maintain remote access for virtual private network (VPN) as well as remote/broadband availability for PCs
- Install and configure local and network-based printers
- Perform routine maintenance
- Work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, and be prepared to travel as required
- Follow management direction, complying with IT strategy and policy
All You'll Need for Success
* Minimum Qualifications: + Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience/training + 3 years of hands-on IT work experience supporting and resolving various PC desktop software and hardware issues + Should have firsthand experience supporting PCs in a Windows/TCPIP environment
- Preferred Qualifications:
+ A+ certification + MCSE/MCP certification + Previous IT foundation experience in an Aircraft/Airport environment
Essential Skills and Competencies
* General knowledge of all Windows-based operating systems, including Windows 10
- Knowledge of workflow and tagging systems
- Familiarity with VPN availability and ability to troubleshoot issues
- Ability to work independently and act in a collaborative, team-based environment
- Should be able to lift at least 50 pounds
