The Role

As an Online Chat Specialist, you'll be responsible for engaging with customers through live chat, providing insightful responses, and contributing to a supportive buying journey. You'll work closely with a chat supervisor to resolve complex questions and ensure that customers have an exceptional experience. This is a fully remote role, offering you the flexibility to work from anywhere in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

* Log in to the live chat portal each morning and engage with customers, addressing their questions and guiding them through their purchase decisions.

  • Utilize the live chat software's features to efficiently respond to common inquiries and collaborate with a chat supervisor for more complex questions.
  • Complete a concise training program (1–2 hours) to familiarize yourself with the tools and processes before starting your role.
  • Work independently, adhere to instructions, and maintain a consistent work schedule.
  • Rate customer interactions and provide feedback to improve the overall customer experience.

Requirements:

* Access to a device with internet connectivity to use chat and email functions (phone, tablet, laptop).

  • Availability for 5 to 40 hours per week.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with online platforms.

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous customer support experience (not required but a plus).

  • Familiarity with live chat software and customer support platforms.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
