Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team at arenaflex. As a Remote Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional support to individuals, families, and small group employees seeking information, enrollment assistance, and other services related to the Maryland Health Connection (MHC). You'll work closely with our team to ensure that all customers receive high-quality service, and that their needs are met with empathy and understanding.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide exceptional customer service to individuals, families, and small group employees seeking information, enrollment assistance, and other services related to the MHC
- Utilize the State's eligibility and enrollment portal and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software to perform all tasks and duties for HIX customers
- Assist customers with eligibility and enrollment for Medicaid, and services applications and enrollments for Qualified Health Plans on the Exchange
- Collaborate with our team to ensure that all customers receive high-quality service, and that their needs are met with empathy and understanding
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest industry trends and best practices
- Meet or exceed performance metrics and quality standards
Essential Qualifications
* 2+ years of experience in a customer service role, preferably in a healthcare or insurance setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with customers and colleagues
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency in using CRM software and other State systems
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and teamwork
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a call center or customer service environment
- Knowledge of healthcare and insurance industry trends and best practices
- Certification in customer service or a related field (e.g. Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR))
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate with customers in multiple languages
