What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

As a Professional Data Entry Keyer, you'll be responsible for:

• Reading customer and shipping orders submitted in person, via the print catalog, and online; deciphering handwriting that can be hard to read
• Keying data into specific Microsoft Excel fields, ensuring accuracy and consistency
• Verifying that the data is accurate before entry and reporting any errors to your supervisor
• Keeping accurate and updated logs of ongoing work
• Performing filing, copying, and other administrative duties for about three hours per day

What Is Required (Qualifications)

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
• Strong reading comprehension and critical thinking skills
• Excellent organizational abilities and good communication skills
• Patience for repetitive work
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

If you have:

• Reading knowledge of English and Spanish (about 5 to 10 percent of orders are in Spanish)
• One to two years of experience with data entry and/or filing
