Job Summary:

arenaflex is urgently hiring a Lead Data Scientist to join our Home Depot team. As a key member of our data science team, you will be responsible for driving data science initiatives that drive business productivity, increased efficiency, and enhanced customer experience. This role requires a strong background in data science, with expertise in at least one specialization, such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, or search.

Job Description:

As a Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for leading large-scale data science projects, identifying opportunities to leverage best-in-class technology and approaches, and mentoring data scientists in the project team. This role is critical in driving the development of a high-level examination foundation that illuminates navigation by applying expertise in both business and high-level investigation displaying strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

30% Project Improvement:

+ Use expertise while planning and creating models and algorithms to use against large datasets to drive business insights + Make informed decisions, use, and understanding of cutting-edge analysis philosophies + Clearly convey insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical leaders and business clients/partners + Effectively communicate the effects of proposals to drive strategy and suitable execution

25% Project Management and Team Support:

+ Lead and manage large and complex projects and teams + Provide guidance on prioritization of work and ensure quality of work + Provide training and mentoring to junior roles to enhance their technical capabilities + Collaborate with leaders and teams in the delivery of responsibilities and resources + Support selecting and recruiting efforts for the team + Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for at least one data science strategy, both predictive and prescriptive + Lead data science networks across multiple specialty units

20% Business Collaboration:

+ Influence broad business insights into strategy approach + Foster trust and collaboration with internal clients and cross-functional teams + Provide technical education on cutting-edge analysis to the data science community + Collaborate with IT to understand potential for new tools and ways of maintaining technical expertise for data science + Effectively identify new business opportunities to leverage data science as a competitive advantage

25% Technical Investigation and Advancement:

+ Seek additional knowledge on key advancements within data science by attending conferences and publishing papers + Participate in the continuous improvement of data science and analysis by creating replicable solutions (e.g., packaged data products, project documentation, process flowcharts) to ensure solutions are used for future projects + Define best practices and develop a clear vision for data investigation and model productionalization + Responsibility for reusable algorithms for future use, ensuring created code/models are archived + Foster expertise in at least one prescriptive modeling procedure, such as machine learning, computer vision, natural language processing, or search

Minimum Qualifications:
