Mental Health Counselor (Limited Permit – MHC-LP) - Remote and Flexible

The Opportunity We are seeking a Limited Permit Mental Health Counselor (MHC-LP) to join our fully remote practice. This role is ideal for someone who wants the experience of private practice—without the stress of managing insurance, billing, or marketing. We receive a high volume of client inquiries and actively support clinicians in building their caseload. Many clinicians are able to fill their schedules relatively quickly, especially when they have consistent availability. You’ll be supported in developing a caseload that aligns with your interests, without having to source referrals on your own. You’ll also have the flexibility to design a schedule that works for your life, while receiving ongoing support as you grow clinically. We are currently hiring for part-time or full-time clinicians (15+ client hours/week). While EMDR training is a plus, it is not required. What You’ll Do

• Provide psychotherapy to adult clients via telehealth
• Conduct intakes, diagnostic assessments, and treatment planning
• Complete progress notes and maintain documentation within 24 hours
• Coordinate care and collaborate with referral sources when needed
• Maintain ethical and HIPAA-compliant standards
• Participate in weekly supervision

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or related counseling field
• Currently eligible for or holding a New York State Limited Permit (MHC-LP)
• Professional liability insurance (required upon hire)
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Familiarity with evidence-based and/or depth-oriented therapeutic approaches
• Must be physically located in New York State during sessions
