AWS DevOps Engineer (Only G.C / U.S.C) Full-Time Permanent Local to the NY / NJ / PA (Remote) NOTE: The client will only consider candidates who are local to the NY / NJ / PA area (within commuting distance to Princeton, NJ). Relocation candidates and non-local profiles will not be accepted. Cloud DevOps Engineer (AWS) – Experience in Regulated Environments Required
- *Position Summary:**
We are seeking a talented Cloud DevOps Engineer with a strong AWS skillset to help scale and secure cloud-based enterprise applications and infrastructure in a regulated industry setting (Healthcare, Life Sciences, Financial Services, or similar). The selected candidate will architect, automate, and maintain resilient cloud systems, ensuring robust CI/CD pipelines, container orchestration, and compliance with high security standards.
- *Core Responsibilities:**
- Architect, implement, and manage reliable and secure AWS cloud environments - Develop and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions - Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code solutions such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi for automated deployment - Manage container platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, or Amazon ECS/EKS - Administer core AWS services: EC2, IAM, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch, and related tools - Monitor application and infrastructure health, performance, and cost using AWS native tools and third-party solutions - Apply cloud security best practices and support governance requirements within regulated industries - Collaborate with application and security teams to streamline workflows and resolve production issues - Maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, infrastructure, and automation scripts - Support the migration, upgrade, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions in line with regulatory needs
- *Mandatory Experience & Skills:**
- Extensive, hands-on work with AWS cloud services (compute, storage, networking, security, monitoring) - Experience with at least one: Docker, ECS/EKS, or Kubernetes - Proficient in Terraform, CloudFormation, or other IaC frameworks - Working expertise in Python, Bash, or a similar scripting language - Build and manage CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps - Linux administration skills - Proven experience implementing monitoring and alerting within cloud environments
- *Education & Certification:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a comparable discipline - AWS Solutions Architect Associate or AWS DevOps Engineer Associate certification required - 4+ years of relevant DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering experience
- *Preferred Qualifications:**
- Hands-on exposure to compliance frameworks (HIPAA, GxP, SOC2, PCI DSS, etc.) - Career history in Healthcare, Life Sciences, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries - Track record of managing production-level cloud applications and infrastructure at an enterprise scale - Familiarity with security automation, cost optimization, and disaster recovery strategies Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
