As an Operations Technician, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers, collaborating with engineers, and driving innovation in infrastructure management.
Key Responsibilities
As a Full Stack Operations Technician, you'll be responsible for:
- Contributing to efforts/initiatives in the deployment, maintenance, and support of cutting-edge and new data center infrastructure
- Participating in complex troubleshooting and resolving critical technical issues
- Testing and troubleshooting new server and network hardware components and designs
- Installing and maintaining switches, routers, and other large-scale networking equipment
- Configuring and troubleshooting Linux OS-related issues
Minimum Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Three years of experience in the upkeep and tracking of server systems, running systems, or networking protocols
- Experience in upkeep and tracking of server systems
- Experience in operating inside a data center or network operations center environment
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will make you an even stronger candidate:
- Experience in operating with troubleshooting hardware or network-related issues using Linux-based tools
- Experience working autonomously and prioritizing multiple competing priorities
- Ability to collaborate and partner with people and teams to overcome challenges
- Ability to manage ambiguity and adjust priorities
About the Job
As an Operations Technician, you'll work closely with our Hardware Operations team to ensure the smooth operation of our data centers. You'll install, configure, test, troubleshoot, and maintain hardware (such as servers and their components) and server software (such as Google's Linux cluster). You'll also participate in or lead small project teams on large installations and develop project contingency plans.
