Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team, where you'll play a critical role in designing, developing, and supporting cloud-based data pipelines. As a Data Engineer, you'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality data solutions that meet the needs of our business stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and deploy cloud-based data pipelines using technologies such as Snowflake, PostgreSQL, and Python
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop data solutions that meet their needs
- Develop and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines, data sets, and data visualizations to support business decision-making
- Work with our DevOps team to ensure seamless integration with our cloud-based infrastructure
- Develop and maintain automated workflows and schedulers to ensure efficient data processing and delivery
- Collaborate with our data governance team to ensure data quality, security, and compliance
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of best practices for data engineering
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in ELT/ETL data pipeline development and support
- Strong knowledge of Python and SQL, with experience working with Snowflake and PostgreSQL
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, such as Snowflake, Databricks, or similar
- Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security
- Experience with source control systems, such as GitLab or GitHub
- Experience with containerization using Docker
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working with large datasets and big data technologies
- Proficiency in cloud design and product development, ideally with AWS
- Experience with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or Power BI
- Experience with machine learning and data science frameworks, such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Strong understanding of data architecture and data engineering principles
