Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our Customer Contact Center team as a Student Loan Advisor. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students, parents, and borrowers, addressing their inquiries, resolving issues, and processing applications with accuracy and efficiency. Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Contact Center Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Responding to incoming calls, chats, and emails from students, parents, and borrowers
- Providing detailed information and resolving issues related to student loans, applications, and repayment plans
- Processing applications, updating records, and ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks
- Utilizing standard technology, such as telephones, email, and web browsers, to navigate and complete tasks
- Following established policies and procedures, including working within various systems, timekeeping, and documentation of calls
- Assisting callers with filling out applications and submitting them electronically to plan providers for processing
- Completing basic call logs, documentation, and related call details for each phone inquiry
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records, including call logs, customer information, and application status
Schedule
Our Customer Contact Center operates on a rotating schedule, with the following hours:
- Monday: 11:45am-8:15pm
- Tuesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
- Wednesday: 10:45am-7:15pm
- Thursday: 8:45am-5:15pm
- Friday: 8:45am-5:15pm
Preferred Skills
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience working with contact center technology
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized while completing simultaneous tasks
- Ability to work holidays and overtime as required
Requirements

- Be able to navigate various systems and browsers
- Possess excellent written/verbal/interpersonal communication skills sufficient to communicate and interact effectively with customers and co-workers
- Have knowledge of contact center technology
- Demonstrate a strong command of the English language, with effective use of grammar skills
