The Role

As an Experienced Data Engineer – Operations Analytics and Data Science, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining arenaflex's data infrastructure, including data pipelines, warehouses, and analytics platforms. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify business needs, develop data-driven solutions, and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

* Locate and extract data from various sources to support business analysis, modeling, and project development

• Clean and curate datasets by researching new data sources, collaborating with stakeholders, and aggregating perspectives into meaningful hierarchies
• Develop and maintain data environments, including data warehouses, data lakes, and analytics platforms
• Leverage emerging technologies and proactively identify innovative approaches to communicate data and insights that meet business needs
• Support business strategy development and project management engagements across various business units and cross-functional teams
• Train and mentor colleagues in data skills and topics
• Practice security-aware behaviors in all operational procedures and maintain a group-first mindset with the success of our team and business partners as the top priority
• Be intellectually curious, ask questions, and communicate ideas effectively

Requirements:

* 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, or a related field

• Proficiency in SQL and ETL/ELT patterns
• Proficiency with Python, SAS, or other comparable tools and programming languages
• Ability to troubleshoot reporting database environments
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work autonomously and manage multiple requests with varying timelines
• Self-starter with a resilient, solution-minded approach to complex problems working individually or in a team
• Consistently prioritizes security and protection of self, others, and personal data
• Embraces diverse perspectives, thinking, and styles
• Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
• Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science, or other relevant quantitative fields

• Previous airline experience
• Working knowledge of and/or experience with cloud-based solutions (i.e., Azure, AWS, GCP, etc.)
