Key Responsibilities

As a Co-op, Airport Customer Service (ACS) Salt, you'll have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and tasks, including:

  • Collaborating with our Above Wing (AW), Below Wing (BW), and Airport Coordination Center (ACC) teams to drive operational performance and improve customer satisfaction
  • Participating in Incident Analysis reports and Injury Prevention Group sessions to identify areas for improvement and implement safety protocols
  • Attending station safety meetings to stay up-to-date on the latest safety procedures and best practices
  • Engaging in employee recognition events to foster a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Working with external business partners, such as TSA, DOT, and aircraft cleaning vendors, to ensure seamless operations
  • Analyzing data and identifying trends to inform business decisions and improve operational efficiency
  • Developing and implementing process improvements to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce costs

What You Need to Succeed

To be successful in this role, you'll need to possess the following qualifications:

  • Enrolled in an undergraduate degree program with an aviation management discipline during the duration of the Co-op
  • Competitive GPA and good academic standing with your university
  • Aspiration to work in the field of Aviation or Airline Management
  • Competency in skills such as data collection and analysis, reading and summarizing new regulations, and problem-solving
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Access, Word, Excel, Forms, PowerPoint, and Smartsheet
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to process complicated issues quickly and maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information
  • Ability to acquire a SIDA badge for SLC, including a U.S. Customs seal and SLC driving endorsement, and pass Delta's Physical Agility Test (PAT) to complete essential physical ramp functions
  • Consistent prioritization of safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embracing of diverse people, thinking, and styles
  • Possession of a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • Age 18 or older and authorization to work in the United States

Co-op Program Outline

Our Co-op program is designed to provide you with hands-on experience and a comprehensive understanding of the aviation industry. As a Co-op, Airport Customer Service (ACS) Salt, you'll spend three alternating semesters working full-time at arenaflex, with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and tasks. At the end of the program, you'll have gained one full year of experience and a competitive edge in the job market.
