Job Responsibilities:

As a Data Entry Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of sports information on our various platforms, including television, digital, and print
• Working in individual settings and in groups to deliver precise detailed breakdowns, clock-and-score, and other measurements and information in real-time to power a multitude of arenaflex items and productions
• Creating and maintaining a working knowledge of arenaflex's role in fueling digital items and television productions
• Reviewing the results of your own work and that of others; performing with a consistently high level of care and attention to detail
• Contributing to creation, projects, and initiatives across the newsroom, and assisting newsroom leaders who are coordinating full- and part-time staff
• Anticipating potential issues, both daily and long-term, and proposing possible solutions; communicating rapidly and clearly with colleagues on these issues
• Playing a proactive role in working with colleagues to create or refine production processes
• Participating actively in team and division meetings
• Seeking and responding to feedback on private performance
• Staying informed about current office policies and procedures

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Working knowledge of teams, players, and the rules of various sports

• Full-time availability, which will include evenings (solely), weekends, and holidays
• Ability to quickly learn production processes that produce or maintain sports information that drives arenaflex's digital and television items
• Capacity to achieve a high level of content precision in time-sensitive production circumstances
• Ability to communicate confidently - verbally and in writing - to production managers and colleagues about production issues and opportunities, often through the noise of a busy newsroom

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

* 1+ years of experience working in sports or potentially analytics, ideally in media

• Knowledge of how sports information is used in media and for research purposes
• Working knowledge of arenaflex items and productions
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and other Office tools
• Experience leading or training a team
• Ability to speak and write Spanish
• Experience using social media in a business or news environment

Education:

* High school diploma or equivalent

• Preferred education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent
