What to Expect: Job Responsibilities
As an Experienced Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Reading customer and shipping orders submitted in various formats, including deciphering challenging handwriting
- Entering data into specific Microsoft Excel fields while ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Verifying data accuracy before entry and reporting any discrepancies to a supervisor
- Maintaining accurate and updated logs of ongoing work
- Performing administrative duties such as filing and copying for approximately three hours daily
What We're Looking For: Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Strong reading comprehension skills
- Critical thinking and organizational skills
- Good communication abilities
- Patience for repetitive tasks
How to Stand Out: Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications will make you a strong candidate:
- Basic reading knowledge of Spanish (about 5 to 10 percent of orders are in Spanish)
- One to two years of experience in data entry and/or filing
- Social perceptiveness and service orientation
