Volunteer: Refine and Elevate Impact Report Design for Nonprofit Supporting Immigrants & Refugees (4–5 Week Project)

This is a volunteer opportunity provided by Taproot Foundation, a nonprofit creating social change through pro bono connections. Creshendo is seeking a senior-level designer to refine and elevate an existing impact report. We have a strong baseline report already developed, including content, structure, and initial design. We are now looking for a designer who can bring a more experienced eye to improve clarity, flow, and overall visual quality, while aligning the report with our evolving brand direction. Over a 4–5 week engagement, the volunteer will help us:

• Refine layout, hierarchy, and visual flow across the report
• Improve readability and overall user experience
• Align typography, spacing, and design elements with our brand
• Strengthen how data, quotes, and program highlights are presented
• Ensure the report feels cohesive, polished, and externally ready This is not a from-scratch design project. The focus is on thoughtful refinement and elevating what already exists.

Creshendo’s impact report is a key tool for communicating our work to funders, partners, and the broader public. It reflects not only what we do, but how we think and operate. By helping us refine this report, you will strengthen how we present our work, build credibility, and expand opportunities for growth and support. You will work with our Communications and Leadership team. We will provide:

• The current version of the impact report
• Brand guidelines and visual direction
• Clear feedback and alignment on priorities We are organized, responsive, and ready to iterate quickly. We are looking for someone who can bring strong design judgment and make targeted improvements that significantly elevate the final product.
