Registered Dietitians required for AI Project - US
Mentis AI is recruiting U.S based Registered Dietitians to participate in a range of AI development projects focused on clinical nutrition data quality and model safety. This is a unique opportunity for U.S based Registered Dietitians to play a direct role in shaping how AI understands and applies clinical nutrition information from macronutrient guidance and therapeutic diets to food-drug interactions, condition-specific protocols, and population-tailored recommendations. This role is fully remote, flexible, and well-suited to dietitians balancing existing clinical, academic, or industry commitments. At Mentis AI, we help companies build the next generation of clinically grounded artificial intelligence. Project Overview Dietitians will be given access to a dedicated review platform and may be tasked with any combination of the following, depending on project requirements: Data Labeling and Curation: Review clinical notes, audio, video, and other modalities, identifying relevant nutritional concepts, relationships, and clinical reasoning steps in accordance with project guidelines. LLM and Model Evaluations: Run structured human-in-the-loop evaluations to assess the accuracy, safety, clinical relevance, and nutritional reasoning of AI models across a range of dietary and clinical scenarios. Prompting and Prompt Engineering: Design, test, and iterate on prompts to improve AI model performance and reliability in nutrition-specific clinical contexts. Fine-Tuning Support: Create high-quality instruction and response pairs, and explore edge-case datasets to help enhance model behaviour across complex or underrepresented nutrition scenarios. Feedback and Error Analysis: Identify critical failure points in model outputs, propose strategies to address them, and document findings clearly within the review platform. Scoring and Rubric Frameworks: Develop and refine scoring rubrics for quality assurance purposes, covering dimensions such as accuracy, clarity, safety, completeness, and adherence to clinical nutrition guidelines. Guideline Refinement: Collaborate with AI researchers to improve annotation standards, acceptance criteria, and evaluation protocols relevant to clinical dietetics.
